True North Meese

Morelli Natural Moose-Man-Ship Program

Welcome to the secret of the Moose-Man relationship!  I'm Matt Morelli, and I can show you the secrets of unlocking the inner potential of your special Moose!  I use a simple series of games to help you learn to speak "Moose", and tune you into the inner workings of the Moose mind.

Game 1 - The Buddy Game

This game proves to your moose you will not act like a predator, that you are friendly and can be trusted. You need to gain his confidence and be able to touch him with a friendly "feel" everywhere on his body. Any area where he is defensive tells you of his skepticism about you. By using approach and retreat, get to where you gain permission to touch every place on his body without forcing him to accept it. You can then advance to tossing ropes, plastic bags, coats, anything you can think of to get him braver, more confident and less skeptical. Be sure the moose is not being held tightly or tied up.  Morelli Moose Attractant can be beneficial in the initial stages.

Game 2 - The Bad Breath Game

This game is called "the bad breath game" as a reminder that the moose should not lean against a point of pressure but learn to move away from it. Learning this prepares him to understand how to respond to the rein, the bit or the leg. It is applied with a steady stare, not intermittent blinking. The steady pressure starts soft and slowly increases until the moose responds. When the moose moves away, the steady pressure is instantly released. Using the Morelli Moose Repellant Breath Freshener can help during this step.

Game 3 - The Driving Game

This game teaches the moose to respond to implied pressure, where you suggest to the moose to move and he moves without you touching him. In the beginning you may need to be at close range.  We recommend the Morelli Genuine Moose Harness for this game. As you advance through the levels you will be able to affect him from greater and greater distances. As this game progresses it looks like invisible communication between the moose and the human.

Game 4 - The Yo-Yo's Game

This game builds trust by giving your moose a job to trust him with, and rewarding him with toys from your Morelli Treasure Chest when he performs successfully.  It is also important to keep both your moose's eyes on you. As soon as the moose turns one eye away from you by turning his head, you will lose his concentration! Pay attention to the details and make corrections before he gets off course.

Game 5 - The Movement Game

Do not confuse this with mindless meandering! The Movement Game develops a moose mentally, emotionally and physically. It teaches him to stay connected to you and get the tension out of the line between you while maintaining his gait and direction.  A  miss-meandering moose can be easily distracted, and cause unfortunate mishaps later in training.  Use a genuine Morelli Moose Move 'em String for the most concise communication between you and your moose.

A miss-meandering moose is a major malfuction and would require a certified Morelli instructor if there is to be any hope of revamping the Moose-Man-Ship with your moose.

Game 6 - The Side Porch Game

Side porches are important for developing suspension, balance and to iron out socialization skills. Start slow and right; use a fence or railing to help prevent falling off while the moose is learning.  A genuine Morelli Watering Tub will make the porch more inviting to your moose.

Game 7 - Splash Game

Meese, by nature, are aquatic. You can use their love of water to build your bond!  The Splash Game teaches your moose to become braver and calmer in his trust of you.  As your moose gets more confident, make the water encountered larger and larger until you are swimming, and even water skiing off your moose.  A pair of Morelli Genuine Moose Skiis will make this play time a fun way to celebrate your Moose-Man-Ship harmony!
